Ground up restoration, all bodywork refinished in gloss white, solid black / stock decal theme (Atelier GP)

The first goal with this creation was to make a high horsepower Yamaha YSR.  One that could achieve somewhere close to 100mph and keep up with modern motorcycles on the road.  This bike started life as a YSR50 and is still insured that way.  How the next owner decides to insure it is up to them.   Keeping it stock looking or close to stock looking was the 2nd goal.  With 35+HP and a GP style 6spd transmission on board we’ve achieved both goals.

Ground up build, no detail or cost spared!

  • Engine cases machined – all casting imperfections addressed, strategic trench work, cylinder opening port matched to cylinder gaskets.
  • Highly massaged stock cylinder with Wiseco piston, reshaped cylinder head  (15:1) – all set up with a degree wheel, ported to our signature race spec, rings gapped, squish set up for race gas.
  • NOS Crankshaft with new c4 crank bearings and viton seals.
  • Custom fabricated engine mounts position the engine perfectly in line with the rear sprocket (Les Barton)
  • Custom one-off exhaust (Les Barton)  – measured for cylinder volume, built specifically to match the engine specs, tucks in nice and snug underneath the engine and channels strategically through the rear swing-arm re-enforcement bracket.  Exhaust exits to the rear (under tail) through an FMF shorty silencer
  • Custom fabricated intake manifold, stock reed cage w/Boyesen reed petals, Mikuni TMX35 carb and K&N hi-flow filter.
  • Custom lengthened and re-enforced rear swing-arm, all welding smoothed and refinished gloss black.  Looks stock, just longer and stronger.
  • Custom lengthened rear brake rod, custom lengthened rear hub support rod.
  • Custom remade kick start lever, custom lengthened side stand.
  • DWT wheels with Dunlop GP tires.
  • Team Calamari CNC handlebars, Team Calamari CNC lower fork support
  • Custom fabricated painted lexan dash panel with high end KOSO guage cluster (RX2NS – Datalogger)
  • OEM JDM rear tail w/built in bodywork signals
  • OEM JDM front signals
  • Zero Gravity solid black windscreen.
  • fresh chain, fresh brakes front and rear.
  • Runs on premixed race gas.
